The font or font software, including its design, is solely owned by Studio Sascha Bente and its creator (Sascha Bente). It is safeguarded by copyright and intellectual property laws.

Licensing
Sascha Bente grants you a license, which is non-exclusive and non-transferrable, to utilize the typeface for personal or internal business purposes. This license is subject to the terms and conditions outlined in the EULA. It is prohibited to distribute, sell, or rent the typeface. You are expected to take reasonable measures to prevent unauthorized distribution of the typeface.

Modifying, copying, renaming, or altering the typeface and its design in any way is strictly prohibited. If you need any additions or modifications, please get in touch with us via typefaces@saschabente.com.

You are permitted to create a single backup copy of the typeface, which is protected under the same license. Sascha Bente provides the typeface in the following formats: .otf, .woff, .woff2. If you require a different format, please contact us.

Desktop License
The desktop license is applicable to the company size of the License Holder.Upon obtaining a desktop license, the License Holder will receive the desktop file (OTF).

The License Holder is permitted to install and use the Font Software within their company. They have the freedom to utilize the Font Software for creating non-dynamic documents such as images, logos, books and magazines.

Additionally, the License Holder may provide the Font Software to a commercial printer or prepress facilities for a specific project, solely for the purpose of preparing and printing documents owned by the License Holder. This permission is applicable only for the duration required to complete the particular project. It is important to note that third parties are not permitted to actively create new documents using the Font Software provided solely for output purposes. If a non-license holder wishes to make modifications to a document, they must purchase a new license. The License Holder is responsible for ensuring that any involved third parties comply with the conditions stated in the End User License Agreement (EULA).

Web License
Web licenses are applicable to a specified amount of domains. If you intend to use the typeface on additional domains beyond the specified limit, you must obtain extra licenses. However, there is no restriction on the number of sub-domains you can use the typeface on. All domains and sub-domains must be registered under your organization, and the typeface should be securely stored on the same domain (self-hosting). Third-party font hosting services are not permitted.

You must ensure that the number of unique visitors per month does not exceed the limit allowed by your license, which is determined at the time of purchase. If you anticipate a higher volume of monthly visits, you must upgrade your license accordingly.

App License
By obtaining an app license, you gain the ability to incorporate the fonts within a single application, whether it be a mobile app, web app, digital point of sale system, or similar. However, if you intend to utilize the fonts in a different application or game, a separate license specifically for that app or game will be required.

TriaL License
Sascha Bente offers trial licenses upon request. The trial typeface is subject to the same licensing rules outlined in section “Licensing”, with the exception that it cannot be utilized for any business purposes. Sascha Bente provides the trial typeface in the .otf format. It is restricted to the following character set:

Typeface Embedding and Usage
Purchasing a desktop license allows you to embed the typeface into electronic documents for personal printing or private use. In the specific case of generating print files, you can send the typeface to a printer or pre-press service for output purposes only. The contractor must not use the typeface beyond this occasion, and you are responsible for informing them about the terms and conditions of this license.

With a desktop license, you can also create pixel-based images (e.g., .gif, .jpeg, .png, or .svg) for internet use, even without a web license. However, these images should be personally created by the licensed user(s) and not automatically generated.

A web license allows you to embed the typeface into a website. You are prohibited from embedding the typeface into electronic documents intended for public distribution through any media, such as PDF documents, e-books, video games, films, streaming videos, software, or audiovisual material. If you require a license for such usage, please contact us.

Sascha Bentes fonts are not designed for use on Windows systems and Microsoft Office. Therefore, no warranty is provided for any issues that may arise when using these fonts on those operating platforms or with Microsoft-related applications. The fonts are produced using modern technology, so we can not guarantee they will work on all old systems.

Using the typeface, whether in whole or in part, and modifying it using editing software to create static or animated logos or branding materials for companies, products, services, individuals, recording artists or bands, institutions, associations, sports organizations, etc., requires an additional license for public exploitation of the logo or brand mark.

Obtaining written consent from Sascha Bente is necessary for using the typeface in a political or religious context.

Sascha Bente reserves the right to revoke the typeface from any licensed user if they use it to promote hate, racism, or any form of discrimination. In such cases, the license would not be refunded.

Liability
Due to the digital nature of the typeface, it cannot be returned. If you encounter any defects in the font software, please contact us for support within thirty (30) days of the purchase date, providing proof of the transaction.

The typeface is provided by Sascha Bente “as is” and without any warranties. Sascha Bente does not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation of the typeface, nor does it guarantee that the font software is free from defects.

Sascha Bente cannot be held responsible for any direct or indirect damages resulting from the use or inability to use the typeface.

If a typeface is misplaced, Sascha Bente will replace it upon presentation of proof of the transaction.

Fonts in Use
We appreciate when designers create impressive works using our fonts, and like to showcase them. This entails the possibility of sharing these works on social media, featuring them on our website, including them in books, magazines, lectures, case studies, and similar platforms. Furthermore, we may also grant permission to third parties do the same.

Concluding Clauses
Any violation of the terms outlined in this license will result in its termination. In such an event, you agree to promptly delete the typeface and confirm that no copies are retained in your possession or control.

This license is governed by the laws of Germany. Any disputes arising from this license will be resolved by the courts of Germany.

Sascha Bente reserves the right to revise this license at any time without prior consent or notice.
